School Songs Volume One
School Songs Volume One
The nursery rhymes in this volume are ones that I would typically introduce in a class 1. They are simple and fun and more of the dreamy side. There are lots of nonsense words which are fun to say and which give the mouth good training for making the typical sounds and melodies that are common in the English language. There are simple clapping games and all the songs lend themselves to be underpinned with meaningful gestures.
It is important to note that all nursery rhymes are meant for young children and to this extent there are no rules for which song to introduce when. There is simply what feels appropriate for which particular class. The recommendations I give with these volumes are entirely personal. Let your intuition lead you to the right song at the right time!
